BE A FIRST-TIME SPONSOR!

Hey bike shops, riding clubs, planning firms, health and recreation companies, health car providers, equality advocates and others: Bike Walk NC invites you to be a new summit sponsor.

We are seeking new, first-time sponsors to step up and show others the value that they place on transportation safety and inclusion. And of course, we deeply appreciate returning sponsors, at every level.

SPONSORSHIP INFORMATION

This year's NC BikeWalk Transportation Summit is supported by grants from the NC Governor's Highway Safety Program and AARP, and by our other generous sponsors.

PRE-SUMMIT Bicycle Training offered

LCI (League Cycling Instructor) Seminar

The NC BikeWalk Summit will once again be offering a certification class for those who want to become LCIs, or League Certified Cycling Instructors. This is a much sought after certification and we are pleased to be able to offer it. Registration will be through the League of American Bicyclists and will be posted soon. The class runs Monday–Wednesday, October 24–26). More information about the LCI program can be found here. (Note that the Smart Cycling class is a prerequisite for the LCI class. Check the League of American Bicyclists website  for opportunities to take the Smart Cycling class.)

Traffic Bicycling for Transportation Professionals

We will also offer the popular class Traffic Bicycling for Transportation Professionals, taught by Steven Goodridge.  This is a daylong specialized traffic bicycling workshop geared toward those who work in transportation or transportation safety (including Law Enforcement and others). It will be held on Thursday, 10/27/2022. A small additional registration fee applies.

    MEMBERSHIP MATTERS

Is your membership current? Did you intend to renew or become a member, but it slipped your mind? Do it today.* Joining now means more than you might realize. The financial support certainly helps, but more important: You become part of our number.

When BikeWalk NC shows up in Raleigh or calls a lawmaker, we say how many members we represent, across how many voting districts. Big numbers demand attention and gain us greater impact in our pursuit for mobility access and safety.

*SOME GOOD NEWS: When you register for the NC BikeWalk Transportation Summit, a BikeWalk membership is included. If you can't make the Summit, please make sure you're a member, at just $30.
